Recently, China Pharmaceutical Industry Information Center under Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the “2014 Top 100 Pharmaceutical Enterprises in China”. Fosun Pharma pulled ahead from 19th place of last year to 16th in the sector of pharmaceutical manufacturing of the ranking.

Reportedly, the ranking compares more than 2,000 enterprises mainly according to three indexes, namely total asset, revenue of main business and total profits. Together with Fosun Pharma, famous pharmaceutical enterprises such as Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical Group and Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals are on the list.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing is the core of Fosun Pharma’s pharmaceutical business development. After years of M&A integration, R&D and marketing promotion, the pharmaceutical sector of Fosun Pharma covers the therapeutic areas of cardiovascular, metabolism and gastrointestinal system, central nervous system, blood system, anti-infection and anti-tumor, with key products in leading positions in the market.
