Fosun Pharma’s CSR Report was awarded AA level

On November 18, 2011, A-share Listed Companies CSR Report Summit & Awarding Ceremony, the third of its kind, was held in Beijing. At the ceremony, Fosun Pharma’s CSR Report 2010 was awarded AA level, ranking No.1 among CSR reports of the pharmaceutical and biological products manufacturing industry for the third consecutive time and No. 5 among the report ratings including 519 A-share companies.

The submit was jointly sponsored by Rankins CSR Ratings, China’s CSR Institute of Beijing Normal University and Det Norske Veritas. Fosun Pharma’s CSR Report scored 78.44 points, ranking No. 1 among CSR reports of the biological medicine industry and No. 5 among the report ratings, and was awarded AA level report together with other 10 enterprises.

Fosun Pharma’s CSR Report 2010 was also selected as a special case of A-share Listed Companies CSR Report Blue Book 2011 due to its highlight of “as a pharmaceutical enterprise, its report disclosed information about protecting consumer’s medicine safety and health in details; and fully disclosed opinions of all stakeholders”.

At the same time, Fosun Pharma was invited to attend the round-table forum and deliver a speech to share its CSR practice and experience with representatives of about 100 listed companies including Ping An, ICBC and Sinopec.

The CSR report awarding criteria at the summit is that CSR report of the enterprise should be rated above A level (including A level).

Invited guests to attend the forum were from government agencies including the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Committee (SASAC) of the State Council, China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Banking Regulatory Commission, the Legal Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange, academic institutions such as China Academy of Social Science (CASS), Beijing University, Qinghua University, Beijing Normal University, Beijing Technology and Business University and Social Resources Institute, and social institutions including China Social Entrepreneur Foundation, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and British Council China.
