Fosun Pharma Group donates “Shanghailander with New Heart” Fund for Cardiovascular Disease
On 28th Dec, an opening ceremony was held ceremoniously for initiating “Shanghailander with New Heart” Fund for Cardiovascular Disease in The Beloved Blue Sky in 2011, the ceremony was launched in the purpose of offering medical assistance for migrant workers who are suffering cardiovascular disease, and the action is co-sponsored by Pudong New District branch of Shanghai Charity Fund and Shanghai East Hospital which affiliated to Tongji University. Fosun Pharma Group has participated actively in charitable donations and charity auctions and also been loosen its purse strings generously and contributed RMB 100 thousand.
According to incomplete statistics, due to various constraints such as economic background and knowledge level as well as medical conditions, among nearly 7 million migrant workers and nearly 1 million families of Shanghai educated youth, the incidence rate on congenital heart disease for newborns at next generation is up to 10‰, which is much higher than the average of 7-8‰ in our country, yet incidence rate of adults themselves congenital heart disease is also reach to 7‰, which is higher than the average figure 5‰. With the restriction elements of hardscrabble family conditions and fall behind living circumstances, along with major medical expense, these families’ future are worrying.
